Dive Guide Professional
The first step to becoming a dive professional!
In an intensive training you will learn group leadership and how to organise dive trips. Your stress and rescue knowledge will be raised to a higher level so that you can react in an emergency when leading a group of divers. You will learn what belongs to a good briefing and how to plan a safe dive.
Course description: Digital training gives you the opportunity to study the theory at home at your leisure. We have planned additional theory lessons so that you can consolidate what you have read. The Dive Guide theory is comprehensive and gives you a lot of information.
The special course includes at least 9 dives. We want you to be involved in as many realistic situations as possible. Experience is the essence of what makes a good guide.
Further we deepen the theory of deep diving with at least 5 sessions. Here you will practice dive briefings and planning dives. We discuss many different dive situations so that you are prepared.
During the dives you will learn how to lead a group and how to react to potential hazards. You will learn how to lead groups at night and what to look out for especially on deeper dives.
Authorisations after the course:
As a Dive Guide you will have gained the necessary knowledge to safely lead groups and develop good dive planning.
If you are a dive guide, become an SSI member, are affiliated to an SSI base like us and have professional insurance, then you have attained the level of professional dive guide. You are now allowed to guide divers underwater. This level is the prerequisite for further professional courses.
Together with the special course “Science of Diving” you are now a DiveMaster.
On request we also offer PADI, CMAS or I.A.C. courses. Here the costs for the teaching material change
Process
Theory: You can relax and study the digital teaching material at your own pace. Here, all the details of the theory are explained very clearly. We deepen this knowledge together with you during at least 5 sessions with us.
Pool: In the pool you will learn stress & rescue skills. Your diving skills such as fin techniques and trim will be improved.
Open Water Dives: With our minibus we go together to the Upper Sure lake here in Luxembourg or to the lakes in the region. This can be done together as part of our training weekends or, after consultation with you and your instructor, quite flexibly as it fits into your schedule. During the dives you will practice the ability to lead a group and react safely to many different situations. You will lead a night dive and guide a group up to 40 metres.
